Lethality Jinx is one of the most fun builds you can play in season 13 of League of Legends. It’s an explosive playstyle that focuses on dealing damage with Jinx’s W and her ultimate. It allows you to deal massive damage from a very long range, so you should definitely try it out.
In this post, I’ll tell you everything you need to know about playing lethality Jinx in LoL season 13. I will start by explaining the runes and then move on to the best items for this build. And in the end, I’ll talk about how to actually play lethality Jinx, what can you expect from it, and why it is so good right now.
So without further ado, here’s the best lethality Jinx build guide for season 13 League of Legends!
Lethality Jinx – Runes (Explained)
- Dark Harvest
- Cheap Shot
- Eyeball Collection
- Ultimate Hunter
- Transcendence
- Scorch
DARK HARVEST has an overall great synergy with the whole lethality Jinx playstyle. Dark Harvest allows you to collect the souls of your enemies and deal more damage to them when they’re on low HP. With it, you can secure more kills with your ultimate from across the map.
CHEAP SHOT increases your damage against targets that are either slowed, stunned, or rooted. Jinx has both a root and a slow effect through her E and W. But Cheap Shot also activates when your teammates provide CC, so it’s a great rune for dealing more damage.
EYEBALL COLLECTION gives you bonus AD for free. You actually get up to 18 attack damage in each game with Eyeball Collection. So, it’s a pretty helpful rune, especially in the early-mid game.
ULTIMATE HUNTER greatly reduces the cooldown of Jinx’s ultimate and makes it a 25-seconds ability. This is really a key to the whole lethality Jinx playstyle because you rely on the Super Mega Death Rocket to deal damage. Never forget to pick up this rune!
TRANSCENDENCE is one of the best runes in the game overall. By level 8 it gives you a total of 10 bonus ability haste. And by level 11, it starts to reset 20% of the remaining cooldown on your basic abilities when you score a kill or an assist. This is especially helpful in a team fight where you can constantly reset and reuse your spells.
SCORCH allows you to burn your enemy with additional damage when you strike them with an ability. Its damage can help you get more kills in the early game. And it only has 10 seconds cooldown.

Optional Runes
Dark Harvest and Ultimate Hunter are key to playing lethality Jinx successfully. And I can promise you that this playstyle falls apart without them.
However, here are some runes to consider taking:
- Triumph – restores a bit of your health when you score a kill or an assist.
- Presence of Mind – increases your mana regeneration and gives you a lot of mana back upon a champion takedown.
- Coup de Grace – allows you to deal more damage to enemies below 40% HP and it synergizes with Dark Harvest.
- Biscuit Delivery – makes your laning phase a bit easier, especially as a mid lane Jinx.

Lethality Jinx – Items (Build Explained)
- Duskblade of Draktharr
- Manamune / Muramana
- Axiom Arc
- The Collector
- Serylda’s Grudge
- Ionian Boots of Lucidity
DUSKBLADE OF DRAKTHARR is the easiest lethality mythic item for Jinx. It grants bonus AD, ability haste, and lethality. Additionally, it allows you to deal bonus damage when you strike an enemy and to enter invisibility upon a champion takedown (helpful in team fights because you’ll often be the primary target).
MANAMUNE/MURAMANA is a must-have item for lethality Jinx. You should always get Tear of the Goddess as early as possible and start scaling up your mana. Jinx’s abilities are very taxing mana-wise, so you need a lot of extra mana throughout the game.
AXIOM ARC is another key element to playing lethality Jinx successfully. Besides raw lethality, damage, and ability haste, Axiom Arc lowers your cooldown by 20% when you score a kill or an assist. In other words, it allows you to use Jinx’s R up to 3 times in the same team fight.
THE COLLECTOR is a useful item for securing more kills overall. It executes champion below 5% max HP, which also synergizes with Dark Harvest. This is a core item for lethality Jinx and a must in 99% of the games.
SERYLDA’S GRUDGE is one of the best armor penetration items in League of Legends. It grants 30% armor penetration, which is actually insane when you consider the amount of lethality you’ll already have. On top of that, Serylda’s Grudge works like an AD version of Rylai’s Crystal Scepter and slows enemies when you hit them with an ability.
ONIAN BOOTS OF LUCIDITY are the cheapest and the most useful boots in the early game. For a price of 950 gold in total, you get 20 ability haste. And you should get them as soon as possible.

Optional Items
Depending on the situation at hand, you have a few more items that could help you out. These are:
- Serpent’s Fang – counters shields by lowering their shielding power. It’s great against supports like Janna and Lulu or champions that build Immortal Shieldbow like Yone or Vayne.
- Eclipse – grants you a shield in combat and deals more damage to tanks. It can help you survive longer, especially against an aggressive team composition.
- Edge of Night – is a great defensive item when you’re playing lethality Jinx. It grants offensive stats like AD and lethality but it also grants you a shield that blocks the next direct spell. This item can be of huge help to you against champions like Ahri or Zed.
- Guardian Angel – is a safety net for all ADC champions. You can build it in any game, regardless of who you’re playing against.

How to Play Lethality Jinx in LoL?
How do you play lethality Jinx?
To play lethality Jinx successfully, you should focus on dealing damage with your W and R rather than your auto-attacks. With enough lethality and ability haste, you can spam Jinx’s Zap! every 2-3 seconds. Also, you should always try to get a kill across the map with Jinx’s Super Mega Death Rocket!
Even though blasting enemy champions with R and W is 90% of the things you’ll be doing, here’s what you can expect in a regular game of lethality Jinx.
The early game of lethality Jinx isn’t too strong. It’s definitely better to focus on farming and only fight when the jungler comes to help. The cooldown timers of your abilities are too large, so you can’t force trades.
Once you get a bit of lethality and ability haste (Duskblade of Draktharr and Ionian Boots of Lucidity) you unlock the first power-up. During this time, your W does great damage and you can help your teammates with your R.
In the mid and late game (with at least 2-3 items completed), lethality Jinx becomes a beast. You start to blast everyone with W and your R can slay a squishy enemy from 50% HP.
However, be careful about entering close range with lethality Jinx. Remember, even though your auto-attacks deal great damage, you won’t have enough attack speed to deal consistent damage. So, you’re better off firing abilities from range.
The goal is always to get as much lethality and cooldown reduction as possible. Lethality is flat and if you have 50 lethality, you’ll ignore 50 armor from the enemy. Many squishy champions like Lux don’t even get to 50 armor, so you’ll almost deal true damage to them.
And that’s how playing lethality Jinx is in a nutshell!

Conclusion
Even though I can talk for days about how you can improve your Jinx gameplay, the rest of my tips aren’t specific for playing lethality Jinx. In this guide, I gave you all the information you need about starting to play this build, from recommended runes to items, and overall strengths and weaknesses.
Remember that you don’t have to go full lethality in each game if you don’t want to. A mix build of AD and lethality works well on Jinx, especially if you have an early lead and you’re looking to snowball the game.
But full lethality Jinx is tons of fun and I recommend everyone to give it a try in season 13 of League of Legends! Just copy my runes and items above and GL&HF! It’s similar to lethality Varus, so you should definitely give it a shot!
