Jax is one of the oldest champions in League of Legends. And as such, he has simple mechanics, which also transfer to the visuals of his abilities.
And the Warden Jax skin isn’t that different from his basic appearance.
Warden Jax doesn’t offer new animations or visual and sound effects for his abilities. Just like many older skins, this one offers a different outfit for Jax, but not much of anything else.
The polished fantasy knight looks great on him, though. Since his abilities don’t have that many special animations, the outfit change alone might be enough of a reason to purchase this skin.
Warden Jax was released in September 2015. It is available to purchase through League’s store as a regular skin up to this day.

In-game Icon ✔ | Chromas ✖ |
Just like the rest of the champions from the Warden skin line, Jax becomes a knight in silver, blue and golden full body armor.
Apart from the Prestige Edition of Conqueror Jax, this is the only skin that gives the melee fighter/assassin such a bright and polished look.
Warden Jax’s weapon is a two-handed gold and blue mace. Its elegant look goes perfectly with the rest of the theme.
The Warden skin for Jax doesn’t have any chromas, as it was released before Riot started implementing them on a regular basis. And, apart from the outfit change, the skin doesn’t offer any other new features.

Abilities
Passive – Relentless Assault
There’s no visual representation for Jax’s passive ability.
Q – Leap Strike
As Jax leaps towards the targeted enemy, his mace lights up. This ability remains the same as the original.
W – Empower
Jax’s weapon lights up and becomes fiery for the next ten seconds or until he attacks an enemy.
E – Counter Strike
While this ability is active, Jax spins his mace up in the air with one hand and creates a see-through blue circle around him.
R – Grandmaster’s Might
Jax gains a golden shield around him while the ultimate is active. The shield with the twirls orbiting Jax has the same look as the original skin.
Emotes
Joke
The joke command has Jax spinning his mace shortly as he says:
“Imagine if I had a real weapon!”
Taunt
When taunting his enemies, Jax raises his hand and says:
“Who wants a piece of the champ?!”
Dance
Jax dances rhythmically while holding his weapon to the left and to the right in a loop.
Laugh
For the laugh command, Jax swings with his hand shortly, and he laughs.
Recall
We can see the base recall animation for Warden Jax too. He turns around once and then plays with his weapon before he disappears.
Warden Jax – Price
Warden Jax is priced at 750 RP.
Although this is around $6 in real money, you’d need to get the $10 RP pack if your RP balance is 0.
Another way to get the skin is by opening a hextech chest and crafting it with Orange Essence. The amount needed for Warden Jax is 450 Orange Essence.
Last but not least, the periodical sale through Your Shop can offer you a discount for Warden Jax.
This random discount can be as low as 30% or as high as 70%. Depending on what discount you get, you’d need to pay anywhere from 225 to 525 RP.

Is Warden Jax Worth the Money?
Visually there have definitely been better skins for Jax than Warden. Price-wise though, this is a pretty decent skin, especially if you like the knight look for Jax.
Although I’m not a big fan of the Warden skins, I must admit I like how this skin looks great on Jax.
It changes the darker shades we’ve been used to seeing Jax in and turns him into a knight in shiny armor.
The lack of features may be a dealbreaker for many, but I don’t see this as a bad thing for a champion with simple abilities such as Jax.
True, God Staff Jax and Mecha Kingdoms Jax are better skins for this champion, but they’re also more expensive.
