Kai’Sa is undoubtedly one of the most popular marksmen in League of Legends. Ever since her release in 2018, she has dominated the bot lane, as she’s been a viable pick in every patch so far. Although she’s been only released a few years ago, there have already been nine (!) skins for Kai’Sa, out of which two are Prestige Edition skins.
There is no doubt that this champion has one of the finest and hottest female skins in the game, but which one is the best?
The Best Kai’Sa Skins Ranked in League of Legends
9. Bullet Angel Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 07.03.2018
- Price: 1350RP
- Loot: 1050 Orange Essence
Bullet Angel Kai’Sa is the first skin for this champion and probably the least appealing one. And although I don’t agree with the saying “Newer is better”, in this case, it’s definitely true.
Although Kai’Sa originates from the Void, as her original look so beautifully portrays, Bullet Angel Kai’Sa shoots rockets for her W and wears futuristic armor. Of course, all of this would be fine, as the skins show the champions in their alternate universes, but many champions have gotten futuristic skins already.
There is however one upside to the Bullet Angel Kai’Sa skin. Her W animation appears wider than the original and thus it makes the player more certain to hit the skill shot. I guess there is a benefit to shooting rockets instead of void bolts after all.
I have yet to decide whether this is an upside or a downside, but when Bullet Angel Kai’Sa hits a target while her ultimate is active, the ring surrounding the enemy is slightly less visible than in the original skin. This might after all make the enemy player a bit more ignorant of the fact that the impending doom called Kai’Sa is coming, which is definitely an upside.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
W animation is wider and brighter | Less detailed than her newer skins |
Improved shield animation after dashing with her Ultimate ability |

8. iG Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 23.04.2019
- Price: 1350 RP
- Loot: 1050 Orange Essence
It’s obvious that iG Kai’Sa is a pretty badass skin. Although it finds itself in the 7th place on this list, there are some pretty cool aesthetics connected to it.
Here Kai’Sa is represented in a darker way than usual, which makes the perfect sense when we remember that she is after all called The Daughter of the Void. She’s dressed in black and white, with the dark tones dominating both her outfit and her abilities.
iG Kai’Sa’s abilities are also darker than usual and are therefore a perfect match for her look and make the skin complete. These are without a doubt the most terrifying-looking abilities that we’ve seen on Kai’Sa so far, and the dark tones are a big reason behind it.
I can’t help but notice that both the abilities and iG Kai’Sa herself share a raven-like aesthetic. Her W – Void Seeker even includes an animation of two slightly lighter wings following the dark bolts. Her passive might however be my favorite. The circle surrounding the enemy is so spooky, that it will make even the calmest player feel uneasy.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Dark and positively terrifying abilities
One-of-a-kind skin |

7. Arcade Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 28.01.2019
- Price: 1350 RP
- Loot: 1050 Orange Essence
If the previous skin was too monochromatic or dark, Arcade Kai’Sa couldn’t be further from that. Her look consists of four colors in total, yellow, turquoise, red for her outfit, and purple for her hair.
Arcade Kai’Sa’s abilities are just as colorful, and the pixel-drawn abilities are sure on point. Anything from Kai’Sa’s Passive to the upgrade animation of her non-ultimate abilities shows huge attention to detail.
A pretty fun detail is e.g. when Kai’Sa upgrades an ability, an arrow pointing upwards in a pixel arcade-style shows up. Also, while attacking enemies with her Q ability, a bright colorful pixel star appears that changes color very fast.
However, I’m not the biggest fan of this skin. Sure, it looks fun to play with for a while, but the abilities presented in pixels are not really my thing. The W animation feels too clunky and glitchy for my taste, and the circle surrounding the enemies when Kai’Sa attacks them is just too pixelly if that makes any sense.
Maybe I should’ve spent more time playing arcade games as a kid to appreciate it more, who knows.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Colorful and fun skin in the arcade-style | The pixel art is too overwhelming for some abilities |

6. K/DA Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 03.11.2018
- Price: 1350 RP
- Loot: 1050 Orange Essence
Some might disagree, but I don’t think there is a single bad K/DA skin in League of Legends. K/DA Kai’Sa is just as well a treat for the eye, as are the rest of her K/DA skins.
There’s a big accent on the purple colors in this skin, especially in Kai’Sa’s abilities. Her basic attacks are purple, and her Q, W, E, and R abilities all include different shades of this color.
This isn’t surprising at all if we look at the rest of the skins in the K/DA skin line. They all share a similar glamorous pop star look.
K/DA Kai’Sa’s W ability, Void Seeker, has the shape of two shiny purple crystals. Its animation is very sleek, and it kind of reminds me of her original skin’s W. The crystals are present in almost every other ability too. The round purple crystal shield of Kai’Sa’s ultimate really takes the cake, though.
So, I guess if you don’t like the purple color, or if you don’t like crystals (for whatever reason), you’re not gonna enjoy this skin as much as I do.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Gorgeously looking abilities
Cool K/DA Popstar outfit |

5. Lagoon Dragon Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 21.10.2021
- Price: 1350 RP
- Loot: 1050 Orange Essence
Lagoon Dragon Kai’Sa belongs in the Dragonmancers skin line along with nine other champions. At first sight, this skin might not impress as much as I would’ve expected, but it’s undeniable that the colors were very well chosen.
The turquoise green color dominates the entire skin, with a touch of yellow and blue. These colors are very harmonious with each other, and they certainly have a somewhat calming effect on the player.
Lagoon Dragon Kai’Sa also has some of the best animations for her abilities so far. Especially her Q ability, whose bolts appear much bigger than for other skins. The rest of the abilities also include dragon animations and water splashing which will let you immerse yourself in the story of the Lagoon Dragon.
All in all, this is a very nice skin. However, I expected a bit more after seeing the other Dragonmancers’ skins. But considering that this skin is only 1350 RP, I guess that’s all we get for the money.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Beautiful and calming aesthetic | Dragon animations aren’t visible enough |
Nice colors |

4. K/DA ALL OUT Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 29.10.2020
- Price: 1350 RP
- Loot: 1050 Orange Essence
K/DA ALL OUT Kai’Sa brought us everything we didn’t know we were missing from her previous K/DA skin. This is definitely a gorgeous Kai’Sa skin and one of the best ones currently available in the store.
The colors of this skin are amazing. The design of each ability is very glamorous with all the shiny breathtaking jewels. All animations look gorgeous, but the Void Seeker sure looks the best here. The giant flying gems animation sure is something to look forward to with each cast of the ability.
My favorite would have to be the Q ability’s animation, however. If you play Kai’Sa with the regular marksman build, you’d definitely be hypnotized by the amazing look of the increased number of missiles from her empowered Q ability.
And, yes, I might be biased when it comes to these K/DA skins. As you may or may not know, I adore the purple color, so both skin lines are a real treat for me! But, even if you aren’t like me, you can’t deny the fact that these skins have some of the finest animations in the game.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Loveliest Kai’Sa skin in the client store
Gorgeous purple jewel animations |

3. Prestige K/DA Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 03.11.2018
- Price: Special Pricing
- Loot: 200 Mythic Essence
Riot hit the jackpot when they started creating Prestige skins. Just like the rest of the champions with a Prestige skin, Kai’Sa looks ah-mazing here! The K/DA star is dressed in all white and gold as is customary for a prestige skin.
Prestige K/DA Kai’Sa is in fact the only skin featuring Kai’Sa with blunt bangs. This is however not the only Prestige skin our precious marksman has, and in my humble opinion, it’s not the better one of the two.
This Prestige Kai’Sa skin doesn’t really lack anything, on the contrary, it has just too much gold for my taste. Kai’Sa’s hair being shiny and blonde, although blending perfectly into the rest of the skin, just doesn’t create any playful contrast.
However, there is also a 2022 version that was gifted to players that owned the skin before the patch 12.5 was released. In this variant of the skin there were a few tiny improvements, including the change of her hair to an iris purple color.
However, the abilities look amazing of course, they’re bright, and colorful, and make the champion even more fun to play with. Even the stacks’ animation of her passive is that of brilliant golden crystals.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Bright & colorful abilities
Amazing aesthetics overall |

2. Prestige K/DA ALL OUT Kai’Sa
- Release Date: 29.10.2020
- Price: Special Pricing
- Loot: 125 Mythic Essence
The Prestige edition colors obviously look much better for the K/DA ALL OUT Kai’Sa skin. All I can do is admire this skin in awe, as there is simply not a single flaw I can point out. The colors work harmoniously together, as we have seen on multiple occasions for different Prestige skins.
The golden details with the purple and blue crystals create a truly harmonious look for Kai’Sa. Where the previous Prestige K/DA has failed, so to speak, this skin has succeeded. Making Kai’Sa’s hair dark with purple highlights instead of the blonde we’ve seen for Prestige K/DA creates a nice contrast to the radiance of her outfit.
Moreover, the K/DA ALL OUT Kai’Sa skin puts a much bigger accent on the crystals in Kai’Sa’s look, which adds to the magnificence of the skin.
All of her abilities are bright and implement that aesthetic in one way or another. I especially love the animation of Kai’Sa’s W – Void Seeker, where you can see two flying crystals in beautiful colors intertwining each other as they fly into the distance.
Last but not least, hearing the music to the K/DA song More as Kai’Sa recalls or emotes is always a treat!
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Perfect blend of colors for the entire skin
Very glamorous and pleasing to play with |

1. Star Guardian Kai’Sa
Release Date: 14.07.2022
Price: 1820RP
Loot: 1520 Orange Essence
This Star Guardian skin for Kai’Sa dramatically stands out from all other skins in the Star Guardian universe. And that says a lot, considering how many of them there are!
As one of the champions with the highest skin sell rate (look out Lux, you have competition!), it’s no wonder that Kai’Sa’s Star Guardian skin is, in fact, a legendary skin. As a legendary skin, it includes many gorgeous and unique details.
One of the effects that are unique to this skin is the full-screen Star Guardian HUD frame which you can toggle with her helmet (which now looks like a very high-tech monocle). In addition, Kai’Sa has special movement and spin animations, that are smoothly implemented.
Star Guardian Kai’Sa also includes brand-new emotes and voice lines. The small cute details in the animations and her SG-specific voice lines could be the sole reason why this skin deserves its first spot. Her starry recall animation has a huge wow factor, too.
This is the prettiest, girliest Kai’Sa skin, and I’m head over heels in love with it! It’s also refreshing to see this void champion being so cheerful and happy in the Star Guardian alternate universe.
Benefits | Drawbacks |
Unique emote animations and a very special HUD
Many lovely chromas to choose from
Gorgeous pink aesthetics |

Conclusion
Each skin on this list is definitely beautiful in one way or another. Since Kai’Sa is a champion that came out in 2018, all her skins are fairly new, and are a long way to go before they are outdated.
It’s obvious that some skins have had more details and time put into them than others. Nonetheless, owning any of these nine skins will for sure make your Kai’Sa look good on the Rift.
